Guardian of the Abyss plot

Michael Roberts goes to an auction with his girlfriend Laura Stephens and convinces her that she better sell a newly acquired mirror to a mysterious man who loves it. When Michael takes the mirror from her for appreciation, occult powers cause it to cross paths with Allison. She has just run away from a secret society that wants to sacrifice her to summon a powerful devil. The head of this organization is Charles Randolph, an evil hypnotist whom Michael will find extremely dangerous.

The film opens mysteriously around a sect and a mysterious mirror, but the effect relies too much on coincidences. Especially in the beginning, how some characters meet each other cannot be taken seriously. It is not at all exciting and the climax is very weakly developed. 4/10
