The Carer plot
Michael Gifford is a retired actor who suffers from Parkinson's. He lives on his estate and chases away one caretaker after another. However, his daughter comes into contact with another nurse: a Hungarian refugee named Dorottya. She dreams of becoming an actress. This creates a special bond between her and Michael.
