Kaze no Bushi plot
Lazy Shinzo lives with his sister and is dating Osei, but he is actually in love with Chino who he knows from the local dojo. After Shinzo witnesses a murder, Chino's adoptive father wants to get him by his side. However, he also tries to kill Shinzo, including through Koriki with whom Shinzo has a conflict and who also longs for Chino's hand. Shinzo is unexpectedly rescued during the fight with Koriki by a mysterious figure who calls himself 'the cat'. After this, his brother tells him that the shogunate wants to use him as a spy. The mission concerns the mythical land of Yasurai in the mountains of Kumano, which the Kishu clan wants to conquer at all costs. The shogunate asks Shinzo to find out what makes Yasurai so special and whether it poses a threat to the government.
