What the Health plot

"The health film that health organizations don't want you to see."

The documentary follows intrepid filmmaker Kip Andersen as he reveals the impact on human personal health of highly processed industrial animal foods. It explores why leading health organizations continue to promote the industry. This is despite numerous medical studies and studies showing the harmful effects of these products on our health.

Here we go again.

Didn't see that this was from the Cowspiracy directors. That's the disadvantage of not reading it in advance, because then I probably would have just let it go. It became clear to me very quickly in which direction this documentary was going and that it was in the same niche, you could call it "stylish".

Jolly guy goes out into the world again with a number of "Gosh, how is it possible ..." questions. Of course he gets no response from the authorities he knocks on, there are a number of enthusiastic interviewees who pretend that everything is great black and white, studies are quoted as if they are ancient philosophy (but funnily enough, none of those studies are ever interviewed) and plots are exposed. So the usual.

One noteworthy detail is the "doubt is our product" quote that is brought up. A tactic that, on the one hand, is also eagerly applied by the documakers themselves (because they do not actually provide proof), on the other hand, they hope for faith from their supporters instead of a critical eye, as befits a good propaganda piece.

Because rest assured, this film is not about health, but about veganism. There is little or no talk about dead animals (although it sometimes seems to seep through accidentally), the angle this time is health and how much healthier plants are than that cursed meat, fish (and dairy). One-sided drivel without value.

Terribly bad documentary. That this has an 8.4 on IMDb is frightening. Simplistic propaganda. Painful to your brain how stupid this is.

What begins as a critical view eventually turns into more of the same: pure propaganda.

Admittedly disconcerting how they apparently do not want to talk about diet at the American Diabetes Association, but equally disconcerting how the last fifteen minutes become an implausible, sentimental and kitschy glorification of veganism. Delegating some pseudo-specialists (actually: lobbyists?) under the guise of informing to sell untruths and even blatant mistakes (see above): it has a disruptive effect, also for the common sense of the undersigned.

In short, a documentary that does what documentaries are not supposed to do: sow doubt about acquired certainties. That too much sugar is indeed bad, for example.

You want this compact opinion in ocharm one word? Uhm...irresponsible?
