Just a little bit less than the 1 because some parts are really over the top, but I still think the story of this one is maybe a little better than that of the first Baahubali.

If you are in the mood for an awesome, over the top Indian epic then this is the best movie to watch.

I enjoyed both parts.

I really enjoyed this sequel, the action scenes are actually even more absurd, and yet I thought it was great that it captivated me, especially that part with the palm trees, incredibly over the top but still beautifully captured. The director takes risks every time with these kinds of action scenes, but the film can handle it. And the majority of the film audience can appreciate this. I think that is so great of this director SS Rajamouli.

Large-scale Bollywood film with a lot of completely crazy action moments that are brought with such dedication that they are quite entertaining. Director SS Rajamouli knows what to do with epic scales and does not hold back for a moment with Baahubali 2. Everything is designed with broad exposition and a lot of detail, with a lot of attention to the (exaggerated) development of the environment as well as the characters. The unfortunate thing is that those characters are quite ridiculous and annoying. Extremely childishly portrayed with a lot of completely incomprehensible actions from characters who apparently have to come across (given their royal status and “inability” to make a mistake) as boundlessly intellectual. The entire middle section is thus full of such nonsense that is drawn out for far too long, but fortunately there is still a positively ridiculous action scene in the end.
