The Wonderful Kingdom of Papa Alaev plot

Anyone who still doubts whether musical talent is hereditary will find convincing proof in this documentary. Which is not to say that a tyrannical patriarch is the ideal pedagogue. Behind the success story of a Tajik 'Jackson family' hide a lot of psychological, ideological and even religious tensions. But the music continues to swing unabated. It starts like a fairy tale: a super talented Tajik boy grows into a musical hero and leader of his own family orchestra. In Israel, where the family happily lives under one roof after the collapse of the Soviet Union, they rehearse and make music together: (grand)father Alayev, his wife and (grand)children.
