How to Build a Time Machine plot

Humans are nostalgic creatures. We feel a romantic connection to the past, not least with times when we didn't exist ourselves. In this documentary we meet two men, both looking to forge the connection with the past into something tangible. With animator Rob Niosi, this took shape in the reconstruction of the time machine that plays the leading role in the film adaptation of HG Wells' science fiction novel. Scientist Ronald Mallet goes even further. He believes that as soon as one really invests time and money in research into the fourth dimension, time travel becomes a reality.
