Die Reine Notwendigkeit plot
What happens when animals stop acting like humans and music is banned from the soundtrack? A non-narrative adaptation of the Disney classic Jungle Book. For his own version, the artist meticulously hand-drawn all the frames from the original to create a familiar, yet completely new experience. In this attempt to emulate the classic animated film The Jungle Book, all songs, dances and silly jokes have been removed to restore the animals' natural dignity. The frames of Wolfgang Reitherman's original from 1967 have been meticulously and lovingly copied, resulting in a story in which nothing happens. Stripped of all 'humanized' activities, the animals now behave in a way that suits them. The biggest intervention, however, is the removal of the main character.
