Eleven-year-old Lukasz goes on holiday with his mother by car. The fun is interrupted by an accident, forcing Lukasz to be hospitalized. When he comes to his senses, he is told that his mother is in a coma. An aunt he has never met takes care of him in a seaside boarding house. There he discovers in his room a blue door to another reality.
