Istirahatlah Kata-Kata plot
Film about the life in exile of the Indonesian poet Wiji Thukul, who had to go into hiding in Borneo after the demonstrations against Suharto in 1997. When riots break out in Jakarta in July 1996, with Wiji Thukul's critical poems blaring across the squares, the poet is identified by the Suharto regime as one of the instigators. Thukul is forced to flee his hometown of Solo, leaving behind his wife Sipon and their two children. He spends a total of eight months in the small village of Pontianak, where he lives with strangers under various pseudonyms, but always continues to write.
