Als Paul über das Meer Kam plot

Cameroonian former law student Paul has had a hellish journey through the Sahara when he meets German filmmaker Jakob in a makeshift tent camp in Morocco. It is the beginning of a special friendship, and the start of a penetrating story about the even more difficult journey that awaits Paul: the crossing to Europe. He has been waiting for his chance for more than three years, partly due to lack of money. And even though he knows the stories about all those refugees who died at sea, returning is no longer an option for him.
