"Hi CoBo, we want to make a standard romantic movie, you know; girl has to choose between two guys."
- "Sorry, the theme this year is cyber/internet."
"Oh, then we'll come up with something around it. Ideas, team?"
- "Laptops! Terminals! Beeps! IP addresses! Bitcoins! Silk road, with some pills, kidnappings and settlements!"
"We do!"

That must have been the case with the plans for this film. I really got the impression that it was just an average romantic movie with some Silk Road related happenings thrown in to make it somewhat more exciting and interesting, which sadly failed miserably. I can't imagine the true events turned out like this. Everything else remains so superficial.

So a big setback.
The actors didn't seem to really feel like it either, especially "Raymond" gave the impression that he had made it late in the days before the shooting days and was walking around the set broke.
Critical technicians should also ignore this film: where in Mr. Robot is even attempted to make it seem credible, all boundaries are crossed here. Lots of sound effects, IP addresses like 455.30.452.10 and so on.

Are there no positives then? Yes it is. The images look very nice and the soundtrack can be strong in places. There was also a funny plot twist.
But otherwise this film will not last long in my memory, and it remains to be seen what the next Telefilms will bring.

5/10

The acting completely drags the movie down. The boys in particular seem to think they are on a school stage and spoon out their texts. Now I really don't expect an in-depth character sketch, but to speak your dialogue a little credibly is not very much to ask, is it? Lonsdale also agrees, but at least she still looks nice. Otherwise a nice story that takes way too long and that ending with those plot twists couldn't really have my appreciation either. 1.5*.

This second telefilm of this year was not too bad for me. I'm definitely not a fan of Mark de Cloe, but I thought this movie was pretty doable. The fact is interesting enough and as a viewer you still want to know how it ends. It's just a pity that it's just not catchy enough and comes across as unbelievable here and there.

I thought the acting was reasonable and I watched the movie with interest. The ending was a bit of a disappointment to me.

Still above average
