Based on the remarkable true story of the world's only known polka scandal. Jan Lewan is a Polish immigrant who believes in the American dream and decides to emigrate to the West in the 1970s. Pretty nice movie with Jack Black as the polka king of Pennsylvania, who wants to increase his fame and get his fans to invest in him for very attractive returns. A bit of humor, a bit of drama, nice hum-pa-pa music and it all happened true too.

Reasonable.
Entertaining comedy, in which Jack Black indulges himself as a Polka singer. It really can't get more wrong than a Polish folk singer, can it? The images of the real Polka King at the end of the film are perhaps the most comical of the entire film. The reality is just even crazier than the movie itself. That people actually invested in this guy, how do you get it? It's almost impossible to grasp. Cool movie. Nothing high, but very solid.
