Jochen Falk, former top spy in the GDR and now retired, is not surprised when the so-called 'amateurs' of the BND (secret service) knock on his door. They need Falk's help on a delicate mission. The newly elected president of a former Soviet republic has been kidnapped, along with a BND agent. Falk agrees, but on the condition that his old team be reactivated for the job.
