Planeta Petrila plot

While miners in Petrila, Romania, enter the shafts for the very last time, artist and former miner Ion Barbu works on his mission: to make the Petrila mine a cultural heritage. However, in the context of EU agreements on the closure of the coal mine, the local government has already committed itself to complete demolition. This is a radical departure from a history to which the working class community still feels strongly connected.
