Kansas plot
"In a life of crime, no one can be trusted... Not even your friend."
Unexpectedly and against his will, young Wade Corey becomes an accomplice in a bank robbery. While fleeing, he saves the life of a little girl and the townspeople, unaware that he was involved in the bank robbery, revere him as a hero. With the loot he takes refuge on a farm, where he falls in love with the farmer's daughter. This idyll is short-lived, however, as his fellow bank robber demands his share of the poet.
