Nightmare at Noon plot

"An experiment in terror."

Scientists accidentally poison the water of a nearby river. However, that river is the city's main drinking water supply and soon the entire population is poisoned. However, the inhabitants do not die, but turn into a kind of zombies and kill anyone who tries to take their city.
