A young couple rents a house near a small village in Louisiana. However, they are not welcome in the village, because the other inhabitants do not trust them. The house the couple has rented used to be the scene of a very gruesome event.

It's not really a horror film, but I found it suspenseful enough to watch to the end. It's actually more of a cult thriller.
The 1940s setting, with the cars and clothing, was nice to look at.
I didn't quite figure out how it all worked in the end, so that was fun.
