¡Ay, Carmela! plot
Carmen and Paulino perform as a duo for the Republican troops during the Spanish Civil War in 1938. On their way to their next show, they are captured by the forces of dictator Franco. They are faced with the choice: die or act, they choose the latter, but they find themselves in a moral dilemma when it turns out that there are prisoners of war who are doomed among the public.
