"Love collides with hate in small town America"
Oil City was about to explode when their resident and filmmaker Joe Wilson announced his marriage to another man in the local newspaper. This announcement caught the attention of Kathy Springer whose gay son is a victim of school violence. Knowing no one to help her, she turns to the only openly gay person in Oil City she knows. In Oil City, Joe Wilson, along with his partner Dean Hamer and a camera, battle traditional (values) activists, conservative politicians and urban dwellers and confront the school board. And they get unexpected help from an evangelical pastor.
