"Some things were never meant to be."
A photographer and his colleagues head into the Alaskan wilderness in the middle of winter to take advantage of the limited but beautiful daylight. They are received by an experienced hunter and also the owner of the local inn. This tells them the legend of the Maneater, a bear with tusks and sharp claws. The story quickly turns into a nightmare for the group when an experiment by Clobirch Industries turns a genetically engineered bear into a deadly, man-eating machine.
