Es Lebe die Liebe plot

Manfred, the star of Berlin's Apollo Theater, resides in Barcelona. There he meets Manuela del Orta. He sees her as the ideal partner for his new revue in Berlin. He manages to invite her as a guest star, but she has to cancel due to illness. His new partner is now Fritzi. A year later, Manuela travels to Berlin with her ballet master and meets Manfred, who no longer recognizes her, but nevertheless recommends her to the Apollo Theater. She gets an offer for the show ballet of the revue and calls herself Maria Marten from now on. And still Manfred can't remember her.
