Next to No Time plot
David Webb is a timid, good-natured engineer who is nervous and insecure in unexpected situations. He has developed a system to convert his employer's factory to automation. However, the project requires more capital than the company can provide. Some time later, during a sea voyage, he tries to conclude a contract with a rich industrialist. In doing so, he slowly but surely loses his trepidation.
