Walking in the Opposite Direction plot
'I Can't Escape Myself' is one of the songs written by Adrian Borland (1957-1999) that has acquired a different meaning in retrospect. The British singer-songwriter, who suffered from depression and schizoaffective disorder for 14 years, committed suicide in 1999. Named after one of Borland's songs, 'Walking in the Opposite Direction' tells the story of his life through rare archival footage, interviews with former band members and music critics, and conversations with his father and friends. Adrien Borland himself tells his own version through his songs.
