Red Kingdom Rising plot

Mary Ann, a troubled young woman, is haunted her entire life by nightmares about a sinister figure - the Red King - and his morbid, fairytale kingdom. After her father's death, Mary Ann returns to her childhood home. There she is hauntedly reminded of the childhood stories about the Red King and Alice in Wonderland, which her father used to read.
