Marlon Brando (1924 - 2004) was an American film and theater actor and singer. Brando is considered one of the most important method actors, who brought the acting technique into Hollywood in the 1950s with his role in A Streetcar Named Desire. He later played iconic roles in The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. The filmmakers were given exclusive access to personal footage and hundreds of hours of audio.

Good documentary about one of the best actors of all time, Marlon Brando. Not a standard documentary in which everyone sings its praises. This is mainly due to the design in which Marlon Brando speaks the entire time using self-recorded, personal tape recordings. This allows you to get into the head of the actor/man a little more.

An unusual documentary about an unusual man or should I say extraordinary man.
In addition to the usual film fragments - here are some striking ones that marked a milestone in Brando's career - a lot of self-recorded audio work containing life experiences of the actor. A man who rarely exposed himself - Bertolucci tried it with his "Last Tango in Paris" and Brando felt a bit caught - but who did stand out for his ideas about racial discrimination (He refused an Oscar because of the hard attitude of the American stands towards the original inhabitants of the country and expressed this in a rousing plea in which even the western film genre was not spared). He sometimes denounced being an actor, calling himself a businessman, and once said, "I wish I had enough money to say 'screw it'." Let's take that with a grain of salt, but it is certain that he was a man who loved beauty, which he expressed with his idolization of the island of Tahiti and its inhabitants.
Such a documentary that paints an image of a very remarkable actor is always welcomed and is worthy of a best fiction film.
