When the Earth Trembled plot

In When the Earth Trembled disaster comes in many forms. First of all, the marriage between Paul Girard and lawyer's daughter Dora Sims leads to a real family feud. Paul Girard's father eventually buys a majority share of the company from Paul and Dora's father in order to destroy them. The young Girard family faces even more setbacks. Paul is shipwrecked and Father Sims is killed during the great earthquake in San Francisco.
