Budapest, the sixties. Lonely Liza inherits the apartment of the deceased old lady she cared for. Her only friend is the ghost of a Japanese pop singer. In reality, he is a demon who opposes her in every possible way in her quest for happiness. When people are dying all the time in Liza's environment, she fears that she herself is a demon, a Japanese fox fairy. But Detective Zoltán, who rents a room in her apartment, is convinced that Liza is innocent.
