While the seasons pass on a centuries-old Dutch estate, an 85-year-old pruning master and the owner work in the vegetable garden to grow the crops. The two men have been working on a pear berceau for fifteen years, which may finally close from above this year. But how to prune it? And all those other trees, crops and herbs that grow there? There was once a chair at a university, but it was discontinued years ago and now all that knowledge is in danger of being lost.
