Liam Bradley is the author of three successful romantic books under the pseudonym Gabriel August. For his next book, the publisher has decided to reveal the man behind the pseudonym. Liam has his doubts about this revelation and decides to move to his inherited family home in Portland, Maine to work on his new book. On the plane he meets Sophie Atkinson. She writes book reviews and is just working on Liam's latest book. The two fall for each other, but Sophie just got out of a relationship with a famous person and has no interest in a similar relationship. Now Liam fears he will lose her if it is revealed that he is Gabriel August.
