Thought it was a real bummer, the rating on IMDB(5.7) is relatively high though, so we probably didn't get it.

Flattened paths are walked again here, and then you get a lot of rubbish. Bad acting, an evil ghost (why are ghosts almost always evil?) that looks laughably unreal, and a script that can be summed up on a matchbox. It could be parody or satire, but even then it doesn't come across.

One of the worst haunted house movies I've seen, a comparison makes even the amityville horror movies a true classic.

another horror film to enjoy, from the beginning the atmosphere and sound is good you can feel the tension, environment and decor are top (that dead winter .... beautiful) and then freaky characters come along with creepy stories and the tone has been set, what follows is a mixture of creepy ghostly atmosphere with deliciously gross situations in the steepness of a good slasher horror ... top movie 4*

Pretty okay.

Although the tough start is not quite my thing. Visually it looks fairly cheap, the haunted house thing is very chewed up and the film hardly makes any effort to give the impression that there is something more behind it. Also the fact that the horror quickly becomes visual, but after that hardly anything happens for half an hour, doesn't do the film much good either.

But halfway through, the movie picks up a few gears and gets a lot more fun. The effects are more than okay, there is some funny gore in it and despite the fact that many of the expected things come along, the course is less typical than in many similar films.

I didn't think it was very high in the end, it's just all a bit too neat and ordinary for that, but a horror enthusiast who is looking for nice filler can make worse choices. Doesn't last too long either, which only benefits the entertainment. Nice snack, actually expected less.

3.0*
