Dreamcatcher plot
This documentary is about Brenda Myers-Powell, who fights against sexual exploitation and assists prostitutes in Chicago. Brenda knows what she's talking about. Her own story of teenage prostitution and a life of violence and abuse contrasts sharply with her boundless energy and optimism. Whoever ends up in Chicago as a prostitute, whether or not addicted, usually has already had a life full of (sexual) violence. Aid worker Brenda Myers-Powell knows all about that; as 'Breezy' she worked as a prostitute for many years. And she too had to deal with a lot of misery as a child. This strong woman now roams the streets at night to assist vulnerable women.
