Rosita plot
Johannes leads a quiet life with his father Ulrik in a fishing village. Feeling lonely, Ulrik invites the young and handsome Filipino Rosita to come to the village, as many men from the town have done before. Reluctantly, Johannes is drawn into the relationship by acting as a translator. As time goes by, Johannes and Rosita begin to spend more time together, forcing Johannes to take responsibility for his life and his dreams.

A bit of a neither-fish-nor-fowl film. We see how a Filipino woman enters the life of an older Danish man and his younger son, where everyone has different desires and interests and acts as best they can based on that. It is possible to feel some sympathy for everyone, but no one sparkles, and as a result, the film as a whole isn't particularly engaging. Mostly solid. 2*.

Quite a nice atmospheric portrait, but also a bit too emphatic with those typical silent shots common in arthouse. Because of that, the film didn't quite grab me, and ultimately, it failed to fully captivate me. 2.5*.
