Point Break by Kathryn Bigelow with roles for Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, I've always found a pretty strong film. So I had my doubts about this remake. Until I saw images of a making off where the wingsuit stunt was central. I was quite impressed by that, so yes, I had to see this new version of Point Break.

I really had no idea who directed this film, and only now do I see that it is Ericson Core, the man behind the fairly strong Invincible from 2006 with Mark Wahlberg. Of the cast, only Edgar Ramirez looked familiar to me, despite Luke Bracey starring in films like GI Joe: Retaliation, November Man, and most recently Hacksaw Ridge. Same story as Teresa Palmer, also played in Hacksaw Ridge. Suspect that she was then the lover of the protagonist. Seen her in other movies too, but didn't seem to be able to really impress me as she didn't look familiar to me. So in the end the cast unknown to me turns out to be not so unknown after all. Overall, the cast was a bit of a let down for me.

Point Break doesn't have too strong characters, I thought Bodhi was the strongest character. The film cannot compete with the 1991 version. Reeves and Swayze both played very well there. In this version that is the case with Bodhi, but Utah is very disappointing. The film is unfortunately not exciting and the action scenes are only decent. A plus is that the film contains a number of crazy stunts, which are also amazingly portrayed. Unfortunately, that's the only spectacle Point Break can really offer. For the rest it is unfortunately just a disappointing intention.

Why do they have to imitate every good movie from back in the day? indicates that they no longer have their own ideas and cannot do anything else. the era of the good movies is long past its peak, for that reason I only watch older movies more often. I can keep watching them without them getting boring because being presented with a remake like this is just too poor and outrageous

Certainly not bored with this action print in which there is still a lot to experience and many beautiful images come your way. Wonder if this print is actually a remake of Point Break 1991 that I don't remember much about. Thought that it was mainly about surfing on those big waves of the sea and here in this film it is about 8 different and dangerous companies in the interest of a small group that want to make an understatement about the relationship earth / man. Entertaining film where real stunts are used, except of course the last scene related to mountaineering with bare hands 6/10
