A very nice film with excellent acting and no ending that will leave you itchy.

What is such a relief is that there is no politically correct gender or racism propaganda in the film.

Thirty-something Wyne [Hannah van Lunteren] is living it up with her best friend Nanda [Jennifer Hoffman], until Nanda announces she's moving in with Maarten [Peter van de Witte] and makes it clear she'd like to start a family. To maintain contact with Nanda and a few other friends, Wyne starts a women's soccer team. A female version of All Stars, you might think, but this one doesn't even come close. Thanks in large part to Van Lunteren's strong performance, the opening is promising, but as soon as Ryanne van Dorst makes her appearance as the caricatural, unruly new housemate (and lousy goalkeeper), things go south. Although Trouwborst clearly has no idea how to film football in an engaging way, he spends far too much time on the pitch. Time that could have been better spent on a less predictable scenario.

"Both director Trouwborst and actress van Lunteren are worth watching," writes IcU above, but funnily enough, I didn't discover Trouwborst through this film; I went to see Dames 4 precisely because I thought his later Captain Nova was such a good film. Equally funny is that IcU also mentions Aanmodderfakker, because I was reminded of the character of the incomparable Gijs Nber, too, although Wyne is a bit more outspoken and often a bit more direct (poor Frans Fris!). Both films play on the relatable feeling of not knowing exactly what to do with your life, and I have an affinity for that, though not so much with the indecisiveness as with the nonconformity of the chosen path. But even aside from that recognizability, I think this is a wonderful film, with a great "regular" lead performance by Hannah van Lunteren (also strong in the aforementioned Captain Nova), a hilarious supporting role by Raven van Dorst who effortlessly steals every scene she appears in, a lively and warm general atmosphere, and very funny dialogue and (as mentioned) a beautiful moral from the pen of Lotte Tabbers. The only downside: as soon as a familiar face like Henry van Loon appears, you, as an experienced filmgoer, already know that that is the one who will free Wyne from her despair – and then comes their bed scene… great.
