After their son mysteriously disappears, Sarah (Olivia Wilde) and Philip (Luke Wilson) struggle to come to terms with the loss of their son. Philip is a police officer in New York City and seems to lose his moral compass during the processing phase. Sarah, on the other hand, takes an unexpected turn when she turns her attention to a neglected boy, causing her coping process to take a different turn.
