Although Bob Weir played a key role as guitarist and songwriter in the cult success of 'The Grateful Dead,' a series of circumstances led him to be overshadowed by co-founder Jerry Garcia. Weir, who is still frequently on stage in 2015, looks back with band members, crew members, and family on his time with 'The Grateful Dead' and his unique musical and personal relationship with Garcia. It is an excellent introduction for those who do not yet know why 'The Grateful Dead' had such a loyal fanbase for so long and why their concerts—especially in the early years—were unique events.
