A TV movie about a Flemish photographer who has turned his fascination with Greenland into an exhibition. During the exhibition, his eye falls on the much younger Iris [Gaite Jansen]. A lot of blah blah leads to a lot of boom-boom and eventually to endless bickering. The unsympathetic main characters and the lack of a story are clear indications that we are dealing with a stylistic exercise here and that Philip Huff did not pay too much attention to his script.

A photographer meets a girl and starts a relationship with her. And then there is Greenland. There, he is the photographer for his work. But actually, he is just as sad as the people in Greenland. And comparable, too. He is also funded to hang around there. Just like the residents of Greenland are funded by Denmark. That is the message of the film, I think. But presented in a very artistic (beautiful visuals, that’s for sure) and empty way. The film really lacks any depth, and that is quite a shame when you have a beautiful story for a film.
