A very weak "Indiana Jones" clone because where Indiana Jones equals top entertainment in terms of action and humor, Firewalker really makes do.
Sets are clearly made of papier-mâché and I haven't even mentioned the big blunder: a bad guy whose eye patch consistently changes eyes! Action hero Chuck Norris will be ashamed of the end result.
The story doesn't matter, two men, including Chuck Norris, are hired by a rich young lady to search for a hidden gold treasure in the jungle of Central America. Some fighting ensues, but it's no longer interesting! This movie is really heading towards junk!

The Cannon attempt to imitate Indiana Jones. With a wooden Norris in one of his rare comedies. And that doesn't go well for him, just like Gossett Jr. Incidentally. The too strong focus on lame jokes and tasteless one-liners ensures that Firewalker never does justice as an adventure film. No thrills in the jungle, no exoticism and a completely idiotic bad guy who seems to come from the ether. It would be unthinkable today that this film was released in mainstream cinemas.

Mediocre film about two treasure hunters who are hired by a lady. The film clearly rides on the success of Indiana Jones and Romancing the Stone at the time. The thin story fails to captivate for a moment and the editing sometimes leaves much to be desired. The location work in Mexico makes up for a lot and is still entertaining here and there (including cheese one-liners).
