Terri, a devoted wife and mother of two, lives an ideal life. However, her life takes a dramatic turn when her family is threatened by Colin, a charming stranger who claims to have car trouble and talks himself into her house. Tame thriller.
Set up because I was mainly in the mood for a good thriller, but as expected I was in the wrong place with this film. Nevertheless, it was easier to watch than I expected. Often these kind of tame happenings are not very much liked by me.
The biggest plus of the film is undoubtedly Elba, who knows how to carry the film with his character. Everything about him is very convincing, and knows how to make the film a lot more fun to watch. He also gets quite a lot of space here.
However, that was it. Henson and Bibb were a lot less namely. Anyway, Bibb is just an excuse, and Henson just wasn't convincing. Certainly not as a mother in danger. The children always act as if it is the most normal situation.
In addition, the thriller is rarely effective. In the final phase it is all a bit more intense, visually also a bit more oppressive, but everything that comes before, despite the mysterious and threatening setting with the storm, is not exactly good.
In addition, it is all quite predictable, except for a good twist, but also a somewhat bland twist in the end. But in the end this film manages to bring little new in the genre, and therefore does not convince, despite a good Elba having a good time.

Pretty bad.
Very very standard, this No Good Deed. A bit Cape Fear-esque plot with a prisoner who is released (well...) and has not become a better version of himself during his sentence.
The clichés of the genre are dutifully followed and finished one by one. Idris Elba is okay as a pyscho and his co-star Taraji Henson can also get on with it.
With a playing time of less than an hour and a half, the tempo is still reasonable and that makes watching somewhat easier.
