Excellent series about one of the most famous periods in the history of the Roman Empire, in which some legendary characters are also reviewed, and the political intrigue is almost uncountable. The characters are sufficiently well-rounded, with favorites being the well-known Marc Anthony (a great role by James Purefoy, who can really indulge himself) and the unknown Titus Pullo (based on a centurion from Caesar's army, although this character is mainly a fictional character). effect). Characters such as the newsreader and Cicero also stand out in a positive way.

Sometimes perhaps a bit dry, and certain characters arouse very little sympathy (the cold Octavian the most), but that seems to be the intention. Not every character should be close to the heart, otherwise it would just be… boring.

Rome is above all a sophisticated historical drama, set in a fascinating period. If one knows the history a little, one also knows that it is not immediately intended for the sensitive viewer. But don't let that spoil the fun.
