The Nest plot

Dan and Emily love each other. They live in a large house in a beautiful location just outside Glasgow and have everything they could wish for except a baby. Through a chance meeting, they come into contact with Kaya, an eighteen-year-old who lives on the other side of town and is not particularly well off. Kaya agrees to be a surrogate mother for Dan and Emily and it feels like they were destined to meet, but was this a coincidence?

The story goes a bit too far on a number of points; the complications are sometimes too unrealistic. But that doesn't make it any less exciting. The roles were played well, some so well that one minute you cursed them, the next you felt sorry for them. Great series, at times even exciting and certainly did not get boring, despite the total duration of 5 hours.

British drama about a couple with a wish to have children, who think they have found a good solution with a surrogate to fulfill that wish. It produces a reasonably good series, which is never boring and is sometimes (almost) exciting. There are some fresh plot twists, but just when expectations are high, the last episode is a bit disappointing. You will just see. Likewise here. Martin (Line of Duty) Compston plays strong and convincing. All other roles are well filled, with a premiere compliment for Mirren Mack; in her first leading role she makes a big impression. Glasgow and the surrounding area, where Compston himself grew up, is beautifully portrayed. The sun shines every now and then in Scotland.
