Petticoat plot
The 1950s: Pattie lives with her father in a small dike house in the Groningen countryside. Her biggest dream is to become a successful singer. When one day the bus of the famous Dutch band The Petticoats runs aground in her village and she comes to the aid of the band members, the spark for showbiz is gone forever. Despite all the warnings from her father and her best friend Peter, Pattie decides to pursue her dreams and moves to the big city. Looking for the life she so passionately desires.

I went to see it on the advice of my younger brother. A bit of mustard after the meal after 'Mother, I want to join the Revue' (2012) and 'Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen' (2015). Nostalgic set pieces with nostalgic songs and a carefree nostalgic atmosphere. (You can still hang strings from the letterbox or leave bicycles unlocked.) Now with slightly more people with different backgrounds in the streets, luckily that is possible again. It's not all that special, but Abbey Hoes is infectious as the good-natured Groningen girl who lets the big dwellers smell a poopie once in a while.
