Them plot

Black Lucky and Henry Emory move with their two daughters from rural North Carolina to the all-white neighborhood of Compton in Los Angeles in the 1950s. The neighborhood is not exactly happy with their arrival. They start terrorizing the family to get them back to where we came from. Meanwhile, they also have to deal with evil supernatural entities that don't appreciate their arrival either.

Drama, thriller, horror... wat maakt het ook uit. Welk genre het ook mag wezen, de serie komt bij mij keihard binnen en daar draait het natuurlijk om. Voor mijn gevoel had dit zo een seizoen van AHS kunnen zijn. Het acteerwerk, het verhaal, de muziek, het visuele gedeelte. Het komt allemaal samen en geeft voor mij zo'n vreselijk naar gevoel dat ik sinds tijden niet meer heb gehad. Te bedenken dat de mensheid zelf de grootste horror is die er bestaat.

Drama, thriller, horror... whatever. Whatever genre it may be, the series hits home with me and that is of course what it's all about. I feel like this could have easily been a season of AHS. The acting, the story, the music, the visual part. It all comes together and gives me the most horrible feeling I haven't had in a long time. To think that humanity itself is the greatest horror that exists.
