Holy, there's a lot going on in the first episode... The pace is really fast. I thought it was an introduction and that it would slow things down a bit in the rest of the episodes, but that's hardly the case; it flies from hot to here, with a kind of superwoman.
Not my taste, although it is certainly entertaining. All in all, I think it's just enough, but the ending is a huge downer.
Besides being/is being oversentimental, it's ridiculous. Out of nowhere a (bloody) Frenchman appears at your door in America, who should tell a very, very long story, and convince you to give up your adopted child again on that basis. That happens to the American adoptive parents and yes, within one(!) night they have decided to give up the child that they have raised from childhood... yeah.. But then it turns out, to top it all off, they move to France, and everyone lived happily ever after haha.
There are even more illogical things in it. You take most of them for granted because the pace remains, but knitting the end around so quickly is too much.
