Um Himmels Willen plot
Wolfgang Wöller, the popular politician and mayor of the fictional Lower Bavarian town of Kaltenthal, fears losing support and the potential election due to a rise in unemployment. Together with the city council, he falls in love with the idea of bioenergy. He is determined to put his face and name on a new, large bioenergy facility that will hopefully create economic growth for the city. Therefore, he needs the support of the opposition, which, however, refuses to support the idea because there is no direct place for such a facility. Finally, his eye falls on the local monastery, a large, old castle that houses only six nuns, but takes up a large part of the city.
