The White Princess plot

The story of the so-called War of the Roses and the rise of the house of Tudor. It is 1485 when Princess Elizabeth of York is betrothed to the future King Henry VII in hopes of peace in a country torn by war. England is reunited, but her marriage is put to the test when rumors circulate that her long-lost brother Prince Richard is still alive and plotting to take the throne. This presents Elizabeth with a very difficult choice. Is she going to be a Tudor woman or the princess of York? A choice between her husband or her brother and the rightful heir to the crown.

Te zien op Amazon Prime en dan abonnement op Starz/Lionsgate+. Ik vind het een bijzonder goede serie (1 seizoen) over het leven van Henry VII van Engeland, de 1e Tudor koning. Het gaat over Elizabeth (van York) die met hem MOET trouwen en uiteindelijk gebeurt er natuurlijk van alles. Het is verfilmd van een zeer goed boek van Philippa Gregory, schrijfster van 2 andere series/films over Tudors. The red Queen en The Spanish Princess. Beide aanraders.

Available on Amazon Prime and then Starz/Lionsgate+ subscription. I think it is a very good series (1 season) about the life of Henry VII of England, the 1st Tudor king. It's about Elizabeth (of York) who MUST marry him and eventually, of course, all sorts of things happen. It is adapted from a very good book by Philippa Gregory, author of 2 other series/films about Tudors. The Red Queen and The Spanish Princess. Both recommended.
