The Timeless Land plot

The saga covers the early days of the British colonization of Australia from 1788 to 1811. The series portrays the lives of both deportees and settlers against the backdrop of the events of that time. Events such as Governor Phillip's attempts to understand the Aboriginal people, his conflicts with the army, the tragic story of Aboriginal Bennelong, Governors King and Bligh, the Rum Rebellion, Governor Macquarie, and the crossing of the Blue Mountains.
