The Slap plot

The Slap shows what one random event can bring about. During a barbecue in a backyard, a man slaps someone else's child. His parents are furious with the man and call the police. This event has disastrous consequences for a large group of friends and family. It also raises questions about parenting, children's rights, racial issues, class differences, sexuality, and the differences between men and women.
