The Outpost plot

Talon is the sole survivor of a race called "Blackbloods". Years after her entire village is destroyed by a band of violent mercenaries, Klaalon travels to a lawless fortress on the edge of civilization while tracking her family's killers. On her journey to this outpost, Talon discovers she possesses a mysterious supernatural power that she must master in order to save herself and defend the world from a fanatical religious dictator.
